Due to the South Floridian climate, 'window blinds' are a necessity, and Drapes were considered "Very Northern." Recently, over the past 5/10 years, Drapes have gained such popularity that they are here to stay.

Drapery's can be combined, with blinds and top treatments, giving a luxurious layered look. Or, drapes can be simply mounted on a 'decorative pole' with rings - in many different finishes, from woods to specially treated indoor/outdoor metals. The most common style of custom drapery here in South Florida are "Pinch Pleat" drapery, where the heading made of stiff like fabric (buckram) are pleated into the standard 'three pronged pinch pleat'. A fabulous traditional look - Can be made to look contemporary by selecting larger printed fabrics or a linen. There are so many other headings that can reflect many different looks i.e. modern, contemporary etc.

Shown in the above diagram are just some examples of drapery headers that will achieve many different looks. For a contemporary look a "Cartridge Pleat" might be selected. For an elegant dining room setting a 'Goblet or Champagne' pleat might be selected.
